Lemonade along with its partners has been developing a complex software project for the European Union called ICS2 (Import Control System 2). Focused on EU customs, the software solution is a big step forward towards a more accurate risk analysis when handling goods coming into the EU’s 27 member states, primarily focused on risk analysis. The customs software collects high-quality data regarding supply chain movements that can be utilised and analysed effectively, allowing risk flags to be raised and custom offices to be warned.

A key part of the solution is the integration of the central customs ICS2 system with each of the 27 member states’ national customs entry software systems. Another important integration is with traders software systems that wish to send goods into the EU, of which there are thousands across the globe. With acceptance testing in progress, external conformance testing will soon be available.

Conformance testing will involve both member states and traders from across the globe. The ICS2 conformance test environment has a full version of the central ICS2 software available. The aim for each member state and trader is to verify connectivity and integration with their own system.

Lemonade consultants are available to help any member state or trader with installation, integration and testing specific to their system – please reach out to the Lemonade team for further information >>
